About Us
This Foundation is a nonprofit foundation supporting the needs of parents and children affected by Autism. The goals of the Foundation are to allow for a safe and inviting environment supportive of the financial, mental, holistic and medicinal needs of both parents and children. The Foundation is in place to help reinterpret and re purpose the understanding of Autism and put in place useful tools to help affected persons with challenges associated within the group.
Families facing financial difficulties can find help here. We provide classes and support groups to deal with helping parents cope with challenges that accompany raising children with Autism. Seminars geared toward keeping parents and children up to date on current and emerging fields of research is provided through the foundation. Professionals in the fields of Autism related studies are accessible through the Foundation. Class space, office space, instructional rooms and operational space for parents, children, and support personnel are provided here; all of which is supported by useful tools like learning devices, instructional and learning programs, and computer applications. Occupational therapist, nutritionist, psychiatrists, and behavioral professionals are all apart of our support team. After care support can also be provided, as needed, for parents and children who successfully make it through the Foundation’s program in order to prevent any form or type of regression. As we grow, tutoring and after school care for working parents and their children will be provided.
My daughter, Faith, has inspired this Foundation. She has been an inspiration for years as she has faced unknown challenges and obstacles with steadfastness and determination. As having been affected by the fog of Autism I am sure that this Foundation, while seeking to help her see clearer, will also serve as a lighthouse for others as they push through the denseness of their immediate space toward the harbor of clearer sky which I know the Faithie Mae Foundation will provide.
